Three price layers exist for every Audi cluster: salvage units with mileage from breakers, near-new or 0 km units from specialist resellers, and brand-new parts from a dealer, which cost three to five times the used price. Where you buy also decides what you pay afterwards: every used cluster still needs Component Protection removal, USD 150–300 at a dealer or $299 remotely with us.

What moves the price
- Mileage. A cluster keeps its donor mileage and only counts up. Units under 100 km sell for roughly double the salvage average; that is the whole 0 km premium.
- Suffix and index. Late suffixes for facelift cars (790 L, M, R, S on the B9; 790 F, G on the C8) cost more used and much more new, because fewer donor cars exist.
- Hybrid versions. 794-family clusters for TFSI e cars have a tenth of the supply of 790 units and no Chinese aftermarket competition.
- Country. German and UK breakers price in EUR and GBP with 90-day warranties; US yards are cheapest but ship mph units with mileage.
- Shipping and duties. Express from Asia to Europe or North America costs USD 45–95 per cluster; EU buyers add import VAT on top of any non-EU price.
What a dealer charges for the whole job
A new cluster from an Audi dealer with fitting and coding lands between USD 2,500 and 4,500 depending on the model. UK retrofit shops quote from GBP 1,995 for a Virtual Cockpit retrofit including a refurbished MMI unit and coding; Swedish retrofit specialists list the B9.5 kit at SEK 12,995 plus SEK 3,000 fitting. Repair of a failed cluster runs EUR 129–599 in Germany and about USD 450 by mail in the US, when the fault is repairable.
