The C8 cluster is shared by four models and comes in four families. Buyers most often go wrong between 790 and 794, which look identical from the front but expect different control units on the bus. This index lists every suffix we have documented.

4K0 920 890 and 894: North American mph versions
US-market cars use 4K0 920 890 x (conventional and MHEV) and 4K0 920 894 x (plug-in hybrid). Audi of America's bulletin 2070332 covers the E suffix of all four families for the MY2021 software 60 update. We source 890 and 894 units on request.
Pre-facelift Q7 4M uses different numbers
The 2016–2019 Q7 has its own cluster family: 4M0 920 770 x analogue without adaptive cruise, 4M0 920 771 x analogue with adaptive cruise, 4M0 920 790 x Virtual Cockpit, and 870 / 880 / 890 mph versions. Only the facelift from 2020 moved to 4K0 numbers. We have a 4M0 920 770 A in stock.
Questions
Can I use a 4K0 920 790 in a Q8?
Yes for a conventional or mild-hybrid Q8; the Q8 shares the C8 cluster family. A Q8 55 or 60 TFSI e needs the 794 family.
What does the E suffix and SW 60 mean?
E is the model-year 2021 revision. Audi's TSB 2070332 updates E-suffix clusters from software 55–59 to 60 to fix the turn-signal sound. Any dealer can apply it during coding.
My A6 is a 2022 model. Which suffix do I need?
Typically 790 F for conventional cars or 794 F for TFSI e, but 2022 cars also carry SFD, so tell us the VIN first and we confirm what our remote session can code.
